CONGRATS on the series!!!

Just a comment in passing from a smelly old person - the whole Wii bowling thing is turning into a bit of an interesting phenomenon with us.

We have had several friends over for bowling night this winter and need to use guns several times to get them to leave - they wanted to keep bowling.

It is a lot of fun, you can control the noise and nobody smells like cigarettes. Starting to see articles about old folks homes having bowling leagues.

I have no idea where I am going with this, just thought I'd share. BTW - that West Coast GTG sounds pretty good. Can you move it a little closer to Rochester; say....Buffalo?

Ray, what I hear you saying is...

"All of you guys are welcome to come to my house for Wii bowling"

Cool! Thanks! See you soon!

Right on - can't wait to go to Ray's! That's so close to here! And I've tried Wii Bowling - so much fun! Especially on the big ole home theater - the echo of the bowling balls in the other lanes is very cool!

Growing up as a kid I was always in leagues and went to the state tournements often. Back then I always used Columbia 300 balls.

After college I got involved in many leagues with fellow workers and friends, and have been a big fan of Hammer Bowling balls.

It has been a few years since I dusted off my hammer and hit the lanes, but my average was a little under 220, and I have had 2 300 games in my lifetime.

Amie - you can always come over for some bowling and beer!

If you haven't done so yet, [url=http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10830&cs_id=1083001&p_id=3490&seq=1&format=2]monoprice sells a set of component cables[url] to replace the composite cables that came with the console. Makes a noticeable difference in the "pop" and clarity.

BTW - I found out that those folks you see beside you (and behind you if you drop your ball) include the Miis from your Mii plaza.

Holy crap randy- your like the robobowler! I have an Ebonite that I got cheap on closeout to augment my columbia yellow dot. They tell me it was the cat's fur in 1978, still has a place in the bag though.
I'm thinking sirquack's place would an excellent midwest region gtg location. I'm spoiled on the smell front- the town bowling center (all 4 lanes of it) does not allow smoking or alcohol. After going to a few tournaments elsewhere, I'm not sure I could stand it at some of those places. As for old people... my doubles partner at last year's city tournament was 87, bowled a 200 something iirc. He cut back to 2 leages this year.

I may have to get a wii one of these days.

I vote for Ray's place. I can make it up there in 5 hours or so.
