JohnK,

Thanks for the heads up on the "Twilight Zone" CD in the other thread, a while back.

I can't believe you used the word "grungy" in a post \:D

I agree in part, with your post....................however,
obsolete or not....the detail, warmth, tone, etc. of a well done Analog recording has yet to be duplicated in digital.

I agree. When comparing numbers (bad pun), the digital domain (CD) wins handsdown over analog (vinyl). But sometimes what we like can be totally contradictory to the evidence. And that's just part of being human. \:\)

Vinyl is the absolute reproduction,..nothing sounds better. what it may say on paper is no match for ones own ears.

cds may have an overall better sound, but its completely sterile and mechanical. LPs' warm up your soul, they have a tonal sound that just says, cmon in and enjoy my hospitality and mood. doesnt get in the way, never screams at you, just so relaxing and inviting. cds kick you out of the house and thats it...they dont care.

vinyl is the best sound. oh bu wait, on paper it says...........B.S. Vinyl is the ultimate of ultimates!!

when implaying LPs' , my dogs will sit in the same room w/ me and just listen to tunes w/ me,...i put on the same cd,...and they do leave the room and hangg on the couch w the wife,.....hhhmmmmmmmmmmm what gives,.....vinyl is warm and natural, cd is definately not, i have a modest turntable setup, not super elaborate, and i know this sounds better than all my cds, ive done hundreds of listening for thosands for hours,......cd is inferior

I will take a good quility recording on c.d over vinyl any day!

That blanket statement that cd is inferior is false.

I have a modest turntable set up, Denon DP 37F with a Shure M97, and while this is a really nice sounding set up it does not sound as good as my digital front end.

Not only the sound can be a draw back but so can the care that is needed plus the storage issue.

Don't get me wrong here I'm not looking to get rid of my vinyl but if one had to go I'm afraid it would be the loser.

But if Arctikdeth says it, it must be true. Everything he says is stated as fact.

Anyone else notice how all trolls have the same attributes.... or the same troll comes back here and there with different user names....

You need a good "typologist" to infer the personnality from hand-typed posts.

Doc, I guess we do things different.

I ALWAYS rely on my dog for equipment and media reviews.... Doesn't everyone?
