I think in general the lower end Emotivas have been pretty problem free. As I recall, it's been the MPA-1 (obviously) and the XPA-2 that have been problematic with the M80s. The UPA-5, XPA-3 (maybe the XPA-5?) and LPA-1 have been ok.
I could be utterly wrong, but I think that's where we stand now.
I don't know anyone crazy enough to own the XPA-1. Which is a really cool amp, since it has warning stickers that say it will kill you if you touch the binding posts while it's turned on.

Death via an audio system would be awesome. I would be legendary on all forums and probably win a posthumous Grammy. In memory of me, the Loudness Wars would end.
Of course, I wouldn't know any of this, 'cuz I'd be dead. But still....

Does haunt mean active participation? A spectre, but not just a spectator?

I'm hoping to spend at least a little bit of my afterlife as a poltergeist. I don't want to scare people to death, I just want to be able to play with their toys.
/em smiles as he pictures Mark discovering all his wood stock pre-mortised in cryptic patterns that look like there is a mysterious and ominous message to decipher but are truly random.

But seriously. Sound aside for a second, you might also also consider the look of the two speakers depending on where they are going. The M60's, like Mark, show a little more wood.
Sorry Buddy, that's two in a row and without provocation but the topic fit and you became a target of opportunity.

I don't want to scare people to death, I just want to be able to play with their toys. Such as putting small toys inside subwoofers' ports?
