Sure, the essential services are still running... police, ambulance, Timmies, firefighters...
It was really creepy driving past a Tim Hortons on Christmas Day and finding it closed... it was like one of those End of the World scenarios. I wanted to go back and grab a shotgun "just in case". Well I guess it's a good thing you didn't. Had you been carrying your shotgun around, and a buddy of your's snuck up behind you to wish you a Merry Christmas, it may have been a bad Christmas for you indeed. However I'm pretty sure the courts would have been understanding about the whole situation... "Your honor, I'm terribly sorry about putting three rounds of buck shot into (enter best friends name here), but you see I drove past Tim Hortons and it was closed, so I......." "Enough said. Bailiff, release the prisoner. I hereby dismiss this case on grounds that the defendant obviously thought an incurable plague had ravaged the area, thereby rendering the victum a zombie who would have eaten the defendant had the defendant not made absolute sure of his untimely demise... zombies are after all notoriously hard to kill. Have a good day sir".

Yeah, the courts in Mississauga are a lot more understanding than the ones closer to downtown Toronto.
Maybe they get more zombies in the suburbs.

Hazel McCallion would fire a couple more rounds into the Zombie, just to make sure!

I wasn't expecting to get any hits on "Hazel McCallion" and "zombies", but I was wrong... http://gunslingersjournal.blogspot.com/2009/06/mayor-hazel-mccallion.htmlFYI the video is about Hazel, not zombies.

I'll take Zombies for 300, Alex. It occurred to me that this thread probably was not originally about zombies, Timmies, or why Chuck Norris is afraid to go to Mississauga... I was about to apologize for the thread derailment when I went back and read the *rest* of the thread... Now I don't feel so bad

No harm. We're just killin' time till Cat gets his new speakers that he's waiting on.
Let the Zombie stories continue....

Nothing worthwhile since the first page, lol.
When do you expect your speakers, Cat?

I was notified by JC yesterday that they should be shipped on Monday. So, that probably means they will get here around Friday or the Monday after that. (Had them delivered to work. It's locked on weekends.)
I've patched up the hole to the right of the TV and repainted that wall and another the same color. Can't tell there was a hole there now.

I used to play a Gibson electric guitar at home when I was a teen driving my parents batty. Then when I went into the military, I played in sound proof rooms occasionally, but then after that I gave it up and never looked back, until now. I'm thinking about acquiring a decent acoustic guitar and learning a different playing style, such as playing with all fingers or holding a pick and using fake fingernails on the last 3 fingers. I want to pick up a decent guitar at a low price, so I guess I'll just keep my eye on craigslist and see what pops up.
