I've tried setting up 4 activities on the 1100, so far, and I've only got 1 to work the way it's supposed to, which is Play a CD. When I choose watch TV, it sets the wrong input on the TV. When I choose watch dvd, it sets the wrong audio on the receiver. When I choose Listen to FM, I can't choose the station presets.
These are probably all fixable, but I've spent 8 hours at this task, so far.
Edit: Oh yeah, but at least the RF is working decently.

Once you learn how to make your own macro's you will be the king of the remote. Your wife will call you anytime you are not at home and she want's to watch TV. Unless you teach her how to use it that is. Which I wouldn't recomend, keep em in the dark I say. There's a certain power that the only person who knows how to operate the remote control holds over all the others.

Well, one lesson I've learned when it comes to programming remotes, is the less you mess with it, the better it works.
In the harmony remote setup program, I deleted all of my devices and activities. Then I started afresh, answering NO to do you have the original remotes, so only the database defaults will be used.
Everything worked perfect, right out of the box, except for switching to stereo mode when playing a cd. So all I had to do was was change mode to stereo at startup, then change to standard audio at exit. The remote already did that switching for me for listening to FM radio and that made it easy.
Everything works perfectly, most of the time. Sometimes when it switches from stereo to standard audio, the receiver reverts back to the default Pro Logic IIx Movie instead of the Neo:6 Cinema where I want it to be. But this only happened twice during the about 50 times I tested it, so I'm beginning to think it's a receiver issue. There's no OSD for this, so I have to run into the other room and look if I really want to know for sure. Bummer.
Now, I've got to find a way to switch between the 4 different equalizer settings I have, which is a rotation problem. There are 6 points in the rotation. If I set an odd eq setting for 5 and 6, then I probably could then identify when option 1 comes up.

Does this sound like an OK way to add an in-wall version of a sub-woofer cable? I went to Lowes today and bought some stuff to prepare for a sub-woofer (EP175v2) installation.
Wall plate near sub-woofer that has RCA to Co-axle converter. RCA on SW side, Co-axle inside wall (they didn't have RCA to RCA). 12 ft of Co-axle cable. Another Co-axle to RCA converter near AVR. That leaves me needing two 1 ft RCA cables, which so far I've only found the ones with the tiny little wires, but looking for a heaver wire.

The in-wall sounds ok but why not just run enough coax through the wall and have it come out of the wall through a grommet on the wall plate and connect directly to the sub or avr?
I use coax that is terminated with RCA ends for all my low voltage audio needs. I make them up myself using RCA compression fittings and RG6 cable, custom made to any length I require. I bought all the connectors, compression tool and cable from Home Depot. Or just order a length long enough from monoprice that is already terminated with RCA ends.

I guess it really doesn't make a whole lot of difference, I just think the wall plate to plug into might make for a cleaner look, especially when it comes time to move the sub-woofer for whatever reason.

Only a cleaner look if the cable is left hanging out of the hole with nothing attached to it, other wise you only see tha cable regardless of how it comes out of the wall. also the grommeted plate could be removed for a blank wall plate when things are shuffled around in the room and that port is no longer required, nothing cleaner than that.

I finished up working on the wires and this wall today. Old electrical outlet removed and holes in wall repaired and painted. The RCA jack is ready and a new electrical outlet installed on it's own 20amp circuit. Just waiting for delivery of Ep175v2 in Cinnamon Beech with black grill. (Yawn) Click here for picture before these changes.
