Has anybody seen this yet? While I can't say it's an enjoyable movie to watch, it has got to be the best movie I have ever seen. It was very hard to watch, and downright frightening at times.
The scary thing, though, is that it is true.

DJ,
True? Without dipping too far into the religion pool, I'd like to say that everything surrounding that event is subject to interpretation. Mel Gibson's version of the story is tied very closely to his personal beliefs, which are ulta-conservative Catholic.
That said, I'm interested in seeing the movie but will wait until my friend (a theater employee) can get me in free as I'd rather not pay for it.

I find it very strange that a lot of the people who were shocked at the Super Bowl breast shot are now planning on taking their children to watch a movie thats rated 'R' due to extreme violence.

We were ALL in waaaaaay too much trouble before this real event took place some 2000 years ago. The Passion of the Christ movie is simply using the media available today to more boldly portray those events. If you think the movie has taken any liberty with the events that occurred, try what many people do, READ THE BOOK.

today on my way to school, riding in my yellow chariot. we passed by a couple people on the side of the road with big signs that says something like PASSION OF THE CHRIST. WANT THE TRUTH?
i havent seen it and dont know much about it but its the first time ive ever seen people waving signs about a movie so it must be pretty controversial. Of course it sounds like its on a sensitive subject though.

Audiobob,
Please please please -- no witnessing! This is not the place.
Thank you.
BTW, Which book (of the Bible) contains the "most correct" version of the Passion story?

I don't think I am going to see it. I already know how it ends.
Sorry I couldn't resist.
