Ughh. First time playing as an adept on 2 and it is my least favorite class on this one. Sentinel was a beast on insane.

Let me guess you don't usually play as wizards in fantasy RPGs? The adept is basically a magic class. On 3, I'd go with one light weight pistol (I'd go weaponless if it was allowed), to get a 200% decrease on recharge time. On 2 it doesn't really matter, I'd usually go with a sniper rifle, so I can keep my distance, but I'd hardly ever fire it.
Adepts hang back, a combination of Singularity, and then hit any affected enemies with Warp, and you can kill pretty easily. But don't get up close, let your squad handle the run and gun stuff.
That's pretty much how wizards play, they're back line support. Lobbing the nukes in from a distance.

I've played as an adept multiple times in ME. I try to hang back with every class on insanity. The is the first time playing as an adept on insane. Adept is one of the weaker classes on the higher difficulty on 2 IMO. Sentinel and infiltrator are my favorite. I really like the sentinel because of the tech armour. It is such a beast. In ME1, I found adept to be one of the best classes. I really liked the engineer in ME3. In ME1 the engineer was nerfed.

This strategy doesn't work as singularity is rendered useless against any enemy with a shield or armour or both. You have to take out their shield and armour before you can use singularity.

That is true, and I guess you see a lot more of those on the higher difficulty. That's basically the only time I shoot, or order my squad mates to use techniques to knock out shields/armor.

Every single enemy has some form of shield, armour, barrier or a combination of all the above. Adept doesn't match up well especially in the early going. Now that I have leveled up a lot especially warp it is more managable but not that fun. The adept is a one trick pony on insane.

Is there any consensus as to whether ME3 is better on 360 or PS3?

Is there any consensus as to whether ME3 is better on 360 or PS3? It's a tradeoff between stability vs disk swapping. The game is more stable on the 360 in terms of framerate, freezing issues. The PS3 is on a single Blu-ray disk as opposed to two DVD's on the 360.

I'm sticking with the 360 version as I've played the other two on the Xbox.

I finally got around to beating ME3 today. I was going to put it off until there was more DLC to play, but was getting tired of dodging spoilers. I will say that the newest patch for the PS3 seems to have fixed all the crashing bugs for me. Not one lockup in 14 hours of play.
I took the green ending. I found it to be OK.
I'm really ready for the next Dragon Age, bring it on!
