Pat, of course all amplifiers have distortion, but at their rated maximum output(and usually a bit above)the distortion is inaudible and the amplification is transparent. This certainly includes the MRX 500, and the 100 watts or more easily available will allow for all safe(to your hearing)listening levels with those speakers.

Brent says they are in final stages of production and will ship next week! Looking forward to the new setup. Thanks for all your replies and compliments.
No, I did not win the lottery, unfortunately. I think you have to buy a ticket in order to win. I'm simply a DINKA and enjoy audio and cars.
The room is quite challenging from an acoustical standpoint. Anthem's ARC helps a lot in this regard. It will be interesting to see the actual frequency response curves from the "old" vs "new system as measured in my room.
I will try to post some pics if I can figure out how to do that.

Hmm, i would say your biggest challenge isn't with the architecture but rather with the extravagant Christmas adornments. And here i thought my wife took a long time to decorate. I suspect once Christmas is over, your audio setup will look just fine but the room does seem to be one of those that would carry alot of echo (my living room nemesis).

Yeah, she is borderline psycho with Christmas. The room has high ceilings, side walls with cabinets, and tile floor. Lots of reflective hard surfaces. The cloth cabinet door inserts help some, but it remains fairly bright. Hoping the new front mains will sing in this type of situation.

In my experience and in my preference, i don't like bright rooms. Since we bought a new flat screen tv for the living room and it reflect light like there was no tomorrow, we are now working on getting heavy, light dampening drapes to replace the blinds. This should help somewhat. To date, NO speaker that has adorned that room sounded good whatsoever.

I just noticed that the LFR1100's have an option on the DSP unit. You can add a DSP center channel for a VP180. What would be the benefit of this? Is it something I should do?
