i had the same choice you currently have, i chose the epic 60,because the towers are not as finicky.. the 80's are very "picky" if you will, you have to place them, "just right" to get the sound you are looking for, and that was not an option in my case, so i went for the more forgiving 60's.. same frequency response, same numbers, just not "quite" as loud... but they are plenty loud... i have a marantz mm9000 5 channel HT amp, pushing about 170 watt's to each of the speakers, and they sound wonderful... if you get the epic 60, get the vp150 center channel, you will be happy you did…. or get another m60, and use that as a center, thats what im going to do, eventually...
