the 80's are very "picky" if you will, you have to place them, "just right" to get the sound you are looking for, and that was not an option in my case, so i went for the more forgiving 60's.. same frequency response, same numbers
I have the M80's and find this opinon of them being picky,finiky,or whatever to be just that an opinon.Most times when you hear that it is coming from someone that doesn't even own a set of 80's.I have mine in a much smaller room,its 15x20 and I have had no issues of placement at all.The numbers on the 60's and 80's are not the same.The 80's are more sensitive(95db)they go lower and they can handle more power.I would, if the price is not an problem,go for the epic 80 system.At least with the 80's there is no "what if".That being said I'm sure you could not go wrong with either system.I forgot,as far as a sub I would go with SVS or HSU.
