Thasp: that was the point that I was trying to make with the THD numbers. You just can't have those very low THD numbers without a flat response for the frequency/ power curve. If that curve is flat, you can't hear a difference, because there ISN'T a difference.

The issue, in my mind, is whether the manufacturers have found a "loophole" to "fudge" the numbers?
