dvaidya: If you can muster up the extra cost for the EP500, I would definately recommend it. It is an amazing sub and the extreme bass extension adds a new level to both music and movies. I'm not sure what finish you went with, but a big EP500 in High Gloss Cherry is breath taking. Have a look in my
other thread for some pics if you're interested. I haven't heard the other subs you mentioned, so I can't comment on them in comparison. I too was also considering both SVS and HSU, but once I had seen the finish on the EP350 I didn't want to go back to the big-black-box look
