Having just measured my room and realizing how 'hot' I had my sub, I wonder how much of the auto-(mis)calibrating is due to in room peaks?

I think I turned my sub way up because I was missing out on a lot of the bass. Unfortunately I have a nasty peak at 52ish Hz. I think that peak really messes up the spl meter readings.
