They already do. It's called a Pontiac Solstice GXP. ~3,000lbs, 2.0L Turbocharged, intercooled, Direct-injected 4-cylinder engine w/ 260hp, 30+mpg. \:\)

Mini Cooper S's are great. Loads of fun. I've almost bought one, twice. On both occasions the salespeople were such jerks that I walked out on the deals.
