While auditioning SRoodes set up he switched the Audessey on and off to show me the difference. Neither of us prefered the sound of the Audessey compared to regular playback. Of course Steve's system is set up about as well as you can set a system up. So I guess if you're not into spending thee time to professionally set your system up then the Audessey may be a better way to go. But I don't care for it myself.
