I agree, plus consider a lower level for your mains so that their tweeters are approximately at ear level. Tweeter are very directional. The way your mains are in your original picture, it looks like the left speaker is firing directly into the chair/ottoman. Maybe not, but if so, not so good. Getting the speakers up a bit so their sound line is above the big sound sponge, may sound better.
