my ears are at 40"
*new wire-clearing center of midrange driver would be 60"

i'd be sitting ~ 11 feet away.

I raised one of the m60's and it sounded awful - the highs seemed to disappear from the raised speaker - I only heard them from the lower speaker.

But, I then raised the other. When both were raised, everything seems to sound good again. very good actually.

if I stand and sit down, and compare- it seems that things sound a little better when standing - a little more "live". but that may imagined.

what do I do guys? ? ?

i'm tempted to put in four junction boxes (two on each side of each speaker) to extend the romex... but that's alot of work.

on the other hand - will I be annoyed each and everytime I sit down to listen if they are "too" high?

btw. the top of the speaker cabinet is even with top of TV when it's in this high position - so it looks ok, and voice will be centered to TV, but it's not the ideal for ear height...

damn, damn, damn. (sorry)
