Hello,

I am interested in purchasing a pair of Millennia loudspeakers for my family room/kitchen. The room is 34' x 13.5' x 8' (459 sq ft, 3672 cu ft) with hardwood floors and no draperies. It is trisected into roughly equal thirds by a sofa and a counter. The AV stand is in the corner farthest from the kitchen counter, 6-10' from the sofa. This purchase will be the first installment in a planned 3.1 system. The receiver is a Denon 1802, 80W/channel.

Two questions:

(1) Keeping in mind the sofa and counter, which would be better: towers or bookshelves on stands?

(2) Which particular Millennia model would be the most cost-effective option for this room? I am looking for the least expensive option that will deliver quality sound to the entire room at modest volumes.

Thank you,
Rob
