I noticed a large difference in my house, originally i was running RCA's to the amps.. However there was noise.. When i switched to balanced the noise is canceled out due to the 3 wire system of a balanced cable. The processor i currently have is a very good one, and there are copious amounts of filters ect to eliminate any noise.. So i don't know why i had noise on the line.
i also had a ground loop problem as well, The axoim ground loop isolators fixed that... The house was built in 75.. So it could be the wiring in general, i don't know for sure. however, i will be sticking to balanced outs on my main system.. My bedroom system is using rca's to the amp.. But that system has speakers similar to the M2's so any noise in the signal isn't as apparent as it is with the Vp-180/M60's
