I think that getting towers for the surround channels is WAY overkill, UNLESS:

- you are going to really devote yourself to DVD-A/SACD listening AND
- you want truly excessive volumes AND
- you are willing to invest in separate, high quality amplification AND
- you have already invested in a high quality subwoofer

I really enjoy the QS8's for HT and regular CD listening (in multi-channel stereo mode). They are great speakers.

If overall SPL (volume) is truly your raison d'etre, you might be well served by M80's and good separates (Outlaw, Rotel, others too rich for my taste). At any rate, a good subwoofer is going to make a world of difference; do not consider only towers (even good ones like Axioms, even at four positions) as "adequate" if you are looking for "Impact Volume".
