I realized a couple of weeks ago that almost all my heroes are going to die in the next 10 years or so. Except Charles. He's got 11, from what I've heard.

The sad part about Gene is his ego overshadows anything that comes out his mouth. That belief that just because that is the way that he feels, any other opinion must be wrong. I liked Paradigm and would have bought them if it was not for the price.

What the heck do you need an i7 for? Are you taking a class in rendering? or Video Editing where multi core processing will be of great use? The truth is that you are probably far better off to get a cheeper i5 or i3 as you will find that the rest

Good point Tom. I'm not sure. It just seems weird to step back with storage space, when the norm is more. 1T is small nowadays. 256G seems inadequate. I do not use cloud either, and don't intend to. So what's so great about these SSD's anyway?

I've been pretty impressed with the HP business-class laptops. Lenovo's have been really good for our family, too. My daughter has a newish Lenovo Yoga and I REALLY like how small and light it is. It has a pretty small screen, but it is pretty f

Yeah, me, too. I think it's rather good, and don't know why he and the others seem to have been "on the outs" during that period. (There's no "and" in the title, btw). Tony Levin was a brilliant choice as replacement, and that

I still need to buy a laptop. I was surfing the Costco web site and they have a few with SSD's. They are all pretty small though. 256 Gig. I'd really like to keep the price under a grand, and I don't see that happening with a larger SSD. I don't thin

It's odd. All of the reports say he was the only Yes member to be on all of the studio albums. That's because they legally could not use the "Yes" name when he did not appear on "Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman, and Howe." I don't know

I'm tempted to move the right sub around to smooth out that null (or try) and get a flatter response. But I don't know if that is possible. But hey, we can measure and see. This is just a temp setup afterall. To get that response the subs are run

Here's an endorsement of front corners from SVS. (As well as 1/3 in on front wall and centered on opposing walls). Also in the Q/A, an endorsement for corner absorption treatments in conjunction with front corner subs. Also a suggestion to avoid s

I've always been a big fan of bass players, and found Yes music in high school. It was fun, challenging and exciting. So Squire was a hero of mine for quite a long time. We had many good hours together. I remember discovering and being fascinated

D Rasco stated about 'The Beast' as he calls it: "The bass that the EP800 puts out is deep, rich, solid, very tight, impactful and unblemished." My sentiments as well. I have a pair of Refurbed EP800 V3s HG Rosewood in a 2450 cu ft room.

For a quick update - I could no longer stare at the EP-800 sitting idle. It was fired up Friday night, and over the weekend, several movies were watched with both the Legacy's and the M100's, along with some additional listening to music. The addit

Fred - Blind listening tests are absolutely the way to go. It's funny when people are so adamantly opposed to them ... one often hears comments such as "I don't need a blind test to tell the difference." The response to this, of course, is

How was the sound? Unfortunately I missed the Vancouver gig however a friend went and said the sound was way too loud for the venue.
