QS8 Surround Speakers
You may never go to a movie theater again!
Stunning surround sound that will turn your living room into the neighbourhood's favourite place to watch movies.
The QS8 delivers all the special effects present in Dolby Digital and DTS soundtracks. Every home theater review cites the QS8s' stunning surround-sound envelopment as the key to an amazing listening experience.
"But mamma! The QS8s are astonishing. Period. No qualifiers are needed -- not for the money or of their type or considering . . . about as diffuse as surrounds get. . . . I have simply never heard a speaker that better lived up to the surround paradigm."-- Wes Phillips, OnHomeTheater.com
Sound fires in four directions
The QS8s feature twin titanium tweeters and dual aluminum woofers top and bottom. Sound is transmitted in four directions (see diagram), tricking your ears so they can't tell where the speaker is. All you'll feel is complete immersion in the movie or music soundtrack. Unlike traditional direct-radiating surround speakers that have just two drivers, the QS8's four drivers effectively mimic the special sound effects of large Dolby movie theaters for all seats in the room. These speakers are comparable to professional surround sound speakers at $1,500 a pair!
Astonishingly realistic performance
"I was shocked at the level of performance that I was able to obtain with the QS-8 speakers. The QS-8 surrounds sounded robust and spacious. Because of their small size, they are very unobtrusive when installed. Channel separation was excellent . . . placement of the QS-8 on the back wall made the rear sound stage sound like it went on forever." -- Ray Adkins, Audioholics.com
The Quadpolar QS8s are best in medium to large rooms with moderate to high-powered amplifiers or receivers. An excellent match with our M2, M22, M60, M80 or M100 front channel speakers.

Questions We Get All the Time
Can I put these in a bookshelf or on a table?
Our Quadpolar speakers have a driver on the bottom. There are several mounting options for these easy-to place speakers. You can use the free included T-Bracket to flush-mount the QS8 on a wall. Alternatively, Axiom's Full Metal Bracket will let you tilt or swivel the QS8, for placement on angled wall or bulkhead. We also offer a Full Metal Ceiling Bracket so that you can hang the QS8s in the room. We also recommend the specially designed FMS QS that allows the bottom woofer to fire freely. But no, the speaker cannot sit on a bookshelf - it has to be elevated.
What size room do these work in?
Average to large living rooms and home theaters.
How much power does my receiver need for these speakers?
Home theater receiver with 40 to 120 watts per channel.

As a surround speaker goes, these are among the finest available today from any manufacturer, conveying a sense of three dimensionality that borders on the magical.
The QS8 has to set the standard for multipole design speakers. Positioned directly to the sides of the main seating area, the QS8's disappear sonically, and were less finicky about seating position than any other speaker I've tried as a surround.

excellent dispersion... For discrete surround, such as Dolby Digital or DTS, the QS-8 will offer a combination of good rear spatial accuracy and a nice enveloping ambient field. It is, I must say, a fine feat of engineering in a bipolar speaker system.

The Axiom QS8 is one of the best, most versatile surround speakers I've heard, managing to sound diffuse or directional as needed.
