That being said, if you were talking about the Virtual MR1, I just tried at 1Khz, 0db: (note: they knob has not markings, so the position is not entirely accurate)

09:00 = 71.3
10:00 = 81.3
11:00 = 86.7
12:00 = 90.0
13:00 = 95.5

Does that give you a better idea? For music, 11:00 is alright, 12:00 is good and 13:00 is excellent in terms of clarity and presence. I did not try it at 14:00 and more for the test signals as the neighboors might still be sleeping.
