The Doc is not use to much run support. There are countless games where he was the losing pitcher in a 1-0 2-1 ball games with the Jays and pitched a complete game! Since the Doc is a ground ball pitcher even when he gets into trouble with guys in scoring position with less than 2 outs, he is able to get out of a lot of jams with double plays.

Now if the Doc is pitching brilliantly does the skip pull him in the 7th or 8th for a bat or keep him in? Now this makes things a bit more interesting now that he is in the NL.
