It's a sad day in Mudville, with the passing of Duke Snider, the great Brooklyn Dodgers center fielder. Good as he was, though, he was thought of as the third best center fielder in New York at the time (1950s). The other teams had guys named Willie and Mickey. About 25 years later, Terry Cashman put this to song, and another 25+ years later, here we are in the baseball thread.

Here's hoping your team has a good season - but not as good as my Red Sox.
