I have M60s. They will play as loud as I want (which is pretty darned loud, both for movies and music) but they are not designed for ear-bleeding levels. M80s seem to be quite happy and clean at ear-bleeding levels, particularly if you have a good amplifier.

One thing to consider is that your current receiver MAY be OK with M80's 4 ohm load as long as you are not cranking them up too far... then you could upgrade the receiver or add an amp in the future when budget permits. Get a second opinion on this though, I do not have any hands-on experience with 4 ohm loads and modern receivers.

EDIT -- do let us know what part of the world you are in, there is probably someone nearby where you could listen to the speakers.
