The outside dog water dish is frozen over again, probably time to bring it in for the winter. I'm going to have to put some kind of pond in next year I think; lots of wildlife seem to be using the dish.
Up to two small fires a day in the masonry heater, still keeping the house decently warm although the propane furnace (aka the money burner
) still kicks for quite a while if I miss a fire.
The firewood I bought is not quite dry enough so either need to pick up a couple of cords of "better than normal" firewood (either seasoned two years or one year "done right") or start working on that firewood kiln I always wanted. Where does one look to buy surplus shipping containers or refrigerated trailers ?
