Pete - take another look at the credit stance. This is a purchase that will be the centerpiece of your HT and something you will live with for quite awhile. Worst thing is to be almost happy with what you get.
If DLP, Samsung. If LCD, Sharp and Sony. Try online at Visual Apex, NewEgg and Cleveland Plasma. They get high marks for Customer Service and their prices are excellent.
It's too bad you have eliminated plasma from the equation.
This one would be perfect for the wall mount approach and is the right price/size. Having 42" and 58" Panny plasmas, I'm pretty happy with them.
