Considering he's already written that she's not his type, he normally wouldn't ever consider her, and getting to know her better will only allow her to annoy him, I think "truth" and "nice" may be mutually exclusive here.

"Now that we've gone out twice, I'm pretty sure you are not my type and and will become more annoying as I get to know you. So, Dinner, still Wednesday, eight, OK?"
