This Denon has ONLY HDMI connections, and the 1913 only has one component video in... Right now my system is all Analog... I don't know what i will do with all of my RCA's... it will be nice to be able to go to HDMI, due to the reduction in the over all number of cables... But, i would rather buy a new product on my terms and not due to a future update that no one really knows when it will come, but when it does my processor will instantaneously be out of date.
http://usa.denon.com/US/Product/Pages/Pr...VR1713(DenonNA) As you, no doubt, have seen, in the last couple of years, in order to still get the variety and number of connections you require, AVR manufacturers are essentially forcing the consumer to purchase their mid to high-end models while pretty well eliminating everything but the basics from the least expensive lines. The Denon design you refer to is a perfect example of that. Pre-outs were the first to go, then the other stuff.
