On the plus side, a pair of EP500's will probably give you a better or more even spread of sound. As the units are smaller, they gain the WAF as you can decordate/(hide) it into the room far more easier. On the other side, the EP800 does do 12hz. Now, I know that the super deep base is more of a visceral thing and not something you get in listening to music. But in some of the movies, getting that supper deep base might be rather cool.
