I know someone that just returned the rx-v 4600 for one. He claimed the 4600 was too bright for him although he might not know how to properly eq either. He loves the 4806 and rightfully so. Very nice receiver. He claims it's a warmer sound then the yamaha and has better bass....but again....eq...eq..eq
