point well made, and funny enough, it's the same logic I'm using and plan on using when/if I ever get external amps. Although right now I have no need to. I have never used the 4806 but more or less assumed that it's amp section would be much better over the 4600.

in the end, my yamaha will be a pre, and I'll get some amps. I know I'll cave in and get some rotels, nad's, outlaw's or something.
