Hi. Well I did it, I went out and purchased the Denon AVR-4806. I replaced my Sony STR DE-995. Do I notice a difference? Wow!! It brings tears to my eyes. Excellent!
I am still playing with setting it up. I'm having some trouble with the HDMI monitor out.
I have a HD cable box with a DVI-D out. When I try inputing the DVI-D into the Denon and then connecting the TV with a HDMI to DVI-D cable (HDMI from the Denon, DVI-D to the TV). I get a message from the cable box that the TV does not support HDCP. This is not true because the DVI-D out from the cable box works fine when I plug it directly into the DVI-D input in the TV. The OSD and the DVD player both work fine through the HDMI. Any ideas?
