Recall, I am not using a cable box or cable card. The Comcast cable TV signal goes directly into the Sony's TV tuner.
After thinking about it for a while, I'm going to try using a different input on the Onkyo and, then, try swapping some cables.
The analog cable is the same one that I have been using. Just unplugged it from the Kenwood and then plugged it in the Onkyo. The optical cable is new. Brand new from Walmart. I'll swap it with the one coming from the DVD.
As I posted above, I find reading the manuals several times is always worthwhile. You never know what you will discover reading them.
