Thanks, no I have not tried that yet. I went through the Sony adjustments again yesterday afternoon. There really isn't any sort of level adjustment. Since the analog outputs worked well with the old Kenwood, I think that the issue is with the Onlyo. I will re-read that part of the manual.

I am not using a cable box or cable card. I get the HD station directly from (off) the cable. Seems strange, but that it how it works.
