The larger subs from Axiom are not cheap, that is for sure. But they are AWESOME from what I hear and have won some awards and get great reviews. Myself, I was in the market for a ncie big sub when I got my Axioms, and at the time Axiom didn't offer what I wanted (didn't have the EP400, EP500, or EP600), so I went with another company that only made subs and got a better "bang for the buck" sub. If I could do it again today, though, I would pay a little more and get a nicer Axiom sub.

My original "budget" was to get a 5.1 set up of speakers for less than $1500 (I was looking at M22 fronts, QS4 surrounds, a VP100, and an 8" to 10" sub.) A "basic" Axiom setup.)

Once I understood what size and style speakers I *needed* (which were more than what I originally *wanted*) I ended up with a 5.1 setup that at the time would cost $2700. That was almost twice what I was hoping for. So I waited a little longer, and got speakers that I can't imagine having anything less than.
