get the biggest rock you can afford, women love it, and she will love whatever you give her, no matter what the size if you put alot of thought into finding it and making it perfect.
See, now that's just silly... we looked at 3 different carat sizes with the ring and we picked the middle sized stone, because the balance was right. Too big can look as cheap and gaudy as too small.
Then again, I'm the guy that thinks Valentine's Day exists for the a-holes of the world to make up for the other 364 days of the year, whereas I'm just a great guy every day.
