In the spirit of upcoming Black Friday audio bargains, a
bargain CD to play on them would be Sir Simon's performances of the majestic Prokofiev Symphony No. 5 and the savage Scythian Suite, all in excellent sound.

On a side note, and I've mentioned this in the past, almost all my driving time is accompanied by the lone classical music station in Southern California,
KUSC. Tonight, I had dinner with my folks and my mom commented on how nice the music was when we drove to pick the food up.
