IMO, it's a Blu-ray industry problem. Think of it this way, if MS only certified Windows to run on Dell machines, is everyone else expected to wait for a FW to run some app? If MS only tests Dell machines before shipping, is it a MS problem or (hp/ibm/gateway/acer/etc.) problem? I would say the fault lies with MS for only testing with Dell.
The very fact that EVERY player cannot play a disc, I mean guaranteed to play, means the industry failed. Like I said, early one, OK, it happens. But not three/four years after it's introduced.
