Provided it exists, what are the odds we'll be buying lossless Audio Discs on Blu-ray 3yrs from now? Given the fact I've seen nothing on it, I would think, "not good".

There's BD Profile 3.0. While that sounds like it has higher requirements than the Java/Internet specs of Profile 2.0, it doesn't. What a Profile 3.0 disc must be able to do is be played/navigated without the use of a video display. It is intended for Blu-ray audio discs. The spec exists, just need a major studio to use it.
