Guys, rewiring to a new location below the window might be more trouble than Dave wants. I do agree that putting ANY speaker closer to ear level will result in better sound.

Dave, don't dismiss using the FMB that Peter mentioned - even above the window located near the existing wiring. If you don't want to move the wiring, having the speakers above the window tilted down so that they point at the listening position could make a world of difference in the sound. It also might allow you to use regular M2 or M3's, which would probably sound better than an inwall/onwall mounted that close to the ceiling.
