Yep, and vice versa, I don't think they would have sold many ps3's if it weren't for the fact that they're a great blu-ray player. After all the ps3 game selection isn't up to par with the XBOX360.
I think they may have actually sold more PS3's if they weren't also blu-ray players. Adding Blu drove up the cost and delayed the release of the PS3, which is a big part of why it dropped to #3 in the game console arena.
They could have done an add on drive later, ala M$, but then they wouldn't have had the Blu ray penetration they were looking for.
