I can remember when cassette tape players developed logc technology and you could finally hit 'search' and it would fast forward to the next song for you. The only problem was that a lot of live tapes ran from one song right into the next without any of the breaks necessary for the tape deck to see it needed to stop... so the dang thing would just keep fast forwarding or rewinding to the end/beginning of the tape! Arrrrrrggg!!!!
That was just one of the many advantages CD's had over cassette's (although it took me years to finally find this out for my stubborn self!). Then CD's came out with those ultra cool 'hidden' tracks that weren't possible on tapes. Ah the joys of technology!
