Thanks Jack, I'll have to experiment some more. My interpretation of that sentence, was 9'oclock is the midway point of the highest setting. I think they left a comma out, it should have said "Set this midway, to the 9 o'clock position for initial setup." I could be wrong, but if they intended to say midway of 9 o'clock, why would then not just say put it at 6 or 7 o'clock for initial setup? I'm just curious.

I guess I don't understand why they would even have a volume control that goes much higher if it would cause problems?
