Likes: 41 DSP's and some of them very good. I like to play regular CD's through the 8 channel mode.

Does some up conversion of composite and S-Video but doesn’t output to component.

Dislikes:
Only three component inputs (need four already)
No 7.1 only 6.1 but 8.1 if you use the Yamaha effect speakers
Frequent sound volume dispersion when switching to different inputs.
No digital connection features for 6 channel
Overall a very nice unit for the money, the RX-Z9 has everything that one could want in a receiver but it is $2000 dollars more than what I paid for mine.
