yes, i have the brightness turned up to its max.. there are two reasons i find the display hard to read. one, it is small and i dont have the best vision. two, my angle from the couch is looking 'up' at it, and that cuts off about 1/4 of the display.
bren- i am not sure what "cable FM" is?? but if it requires me to give my cable company more money, then i dont want it.. they charge me too much for the crappy srvc i already get. the "poor FM reception" comment from me was based on the fact that my old tuner/receiver got more stations, and they were clearer.
with all that said, i still love the 701.. i think its gonna work just fine for my needs. but thank ya'll for the input on how to fix my probs!!
