Please let me know if I made a mistake, I think there is still time to fix it. I have forgotten to mention that my living room is 13X12X8 feet with a huge opening to a dining room and to a sunroom. My Samsung DLP TV 720p is located in the corner of the room, with the diagonal distance of 10 feet from the sofa.

Somebody at AVS suggested Denon 887 the important part is that does HDMI 1.1 audio and has preouts which lets me use my Rotel RB-1080 amp. Any experience with this receiver? It is much cheaper than 2807 as MSRP.
