Oh, that's something else I wanted to ask. The little spacers which are used when using the T mount... How much space do they create? Right now I have 12 gauge wire to my surrounds, but since I was going to have to buy more I was going to pick up some 10. Then I thought that it may not fit into the gap, and the speaker would be sitting on the wire instead of the spacers.
I know 10 is overkill, but you can never have too much overkill.
10 awg bare wire is possible to fit inside the binding posts but you have to be very careful not to strip off to much because of how thick the wire is and the possiblity of stray whiskers is greater because it is a tight fit in the binding post. Since you are using the t-bracket I suggest using 12 or 14 gauge wire. It will make your life much easier for the install and you will not be compromising any sound quality in the process.
