When you mount it try to make the mounting as ridged as possible to better transfer the vibration. I’ve also noticed that for a long couch mounting it in the center works best for distributing the shaking evenly. Not that putting it at one end or the other doesn’t work well just that the center works best IMO.

If you can’t find a way to mount it directly I’ve found an equally good method is to mount it to a 2x4 and that runs the length of the seating and put the back legs of the seating on the 2x4. that’s what I’ve done in order to use one transducer to shake 3 chairs w/o having to go to the trouble of building a riser. IMO this works better at distributing the vibration than using the single foot pad method and also allows the floor to dampen the residual vibration from resonating through the seats after the initial event.
